This Lime tree is causing building movement to the frontage of the dwelling of a homeowner.
The homeowner would like the movements to stop, to limit invasive visits by a host of specialists, to be able to redecorate their house.
The Council do not want the tree felled because of its amenity benefits. However whats interesting is the why!
Why hang onto this tree clearly in the wrong place in which:
The risk of tripping and slipping on clearly disrupted pavements is so high
Mothers with prams have to literally leave the safety of the footway and weave between parked cars up and down the carriageway because the space to move down the pedestrian footway is to narrow
The tree is causing actual building movements to one of their residents/customers homes due to water use
When we blindly drive an agenda of amenity benefits ignoring the disbenefits we bring our industry into disrepute.
I wonder what its local government financial valuation using the dreary CAVAT or US iTree would be?
